The ANP received 16 expressions of interest for the 4th Round of Production Sharing, a record number for rounds in this regime. Applications from these companies, which are among the largest in the world's oil and gas sector, still need to be reviewed by the Special Bidding Commission.

Scheduled for next June 7, the 4th Round will offer the areas of Itaimbezinho, Três Marias, Dois Irmãos and Uirapuru, in the pre-salt of the Campos and Santos basins. The round was approved by CNPE Resolution 21/2017.

In the bids under the production sharing regime, the winning companies are those that offer the Brazilian State, from a minimum percentage fixed in the bid, the largest portion of oil and natural gas produced (ie the largest portion of surplus in oil). The signature bonuses, also determined in the edict, are fixed.
