Rio Oil & Gas 2022

ANP participated in Rio Oil & Gas 2022, one of the biggest events in the oil and natural gas sector in the world, which took place from 26 to 29/9, in Rio de Janeiro. The Agency had a stand at the fair, which had a schedule of technical events, and was represented by directors, superintendents and technicians at the congress.
On the first day (26/9), at 1 pm, the ANP held, within Rio Oil & Gas, the X Workshop on Operational Safety and the Environment (X SOMA). At the event, the operational safety performance in the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) segment in 2021 and the future of regulations in the area were discussed. On 9/27, there was also the signing of a cooperation agreement between the ANP and the Angolan Oil, Gas and Biofuels National Agency (ANPG) at the ANP stand. The agreement aims to establish the bases that allow the parties to develop the exchange of information and experiences, joint research, initiatives, technologies, procedures, investigation work, based on the principles of reciprocity, equality and mutual benefit.
On 9/28, the ANP also launched, at its stand, the complete digital edition of the Agency's 2022 Statistical Yearbook, which presents consolidated data on the oil, natural gas and biofuels sector in Brazil, in addition to a international panorama, in 2021, and an evolution of the last ten years. The event featured a lecture that highlighted the main data of the publication. Directors, superintendents and technicians of the ANP also participated in lectures and debates at the Rio Oil & Gas congress. There were also meetings between the ANP and representatives of the world industry, in which the Agency presented investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector in Brazil.
