Single-axis tracker manufacturer Soltec has begun the installation of its SF Utility tracker systems at a 292MW PV plant in Brazil.

The 2016 Piaui plant is still under construction. This new contract marks the second large-scale PV tracking plant that Soltec has executed in Brazil, bringing its total in the country to 450MW.

Overall, the Spain-headquartered tracker giant has installed 1.4GW of trackers in the Americas, and also has several large-scale projects underway in the US.

“We are very proud of the activity underway that we are experiencing in the Americas, in countries like Brazil, Chile and United States,” said Fernando Sanchez, commercial director LATAM at Soltec.

“As one of the first tracker manufacturers to establish production on the continent and to earn the FINAME certification from the Brazilian Economic and Social Development Bank, we believe our success, establishing ourselves as America’s market leaders in solar tracker supply, is recognition of well-done work and the customer service that we offer.”

“Our objective is to supply customers with cutting-edge technologies at the most competitive price. We focused our work on innovating a product with reliable qualities and low cost installation,” added Raúl Morales Soltec CEO.
