Spanish President to visit Brazil on 24-25 April

Mariano Rajoy is coming to the country by invitation of President Michel Temer. The Spaniard will be accompanied by businessmen and investors

Responding to a former invitation by President Michel Temer, Spanish President Mariano Rajoy will hold an official visit to Brazil between 24 and 25 April. He will be accompanied by a delegation of entrepreneurs and investors interested in doing business in the country.

 

A major item on the agenda of topics to be addressed by the heads of State is the EU-Mercosur trade agreement. The two will also discuss current challenges in the international arena.

 

The official programme of the visit also includes a lunch offered by Temer in honour of President Rajoy, who will also attend seminars on business opportunities in Brazil and Brazil-Spain relations. Brazilian and Spanish businesspeople and other important representatives of the two countries will also attend.

 

Brazil-Spain trade

 

Trade between Brazil and Spain totalled over US$ 5 billion in 2016. Spaniards also collective comprise the largest individual investors in Brazil.
