From March 25 to 27, the Salvador Convention Center will host the International Brazil Energy Meeting (iBEM), the only event that gathers all energy sectors of the country in one place. Sponsored by Bahiagás, iBEM will be a meeting point for professionals from around the world interested in business, public policies, academic and technical aspects, and networking in the energy sector.

During the three-day event, attendees will experience an extensive program, featuring over 70 exhibitors spread across two pavilions, representatives from more than 30 countries, and speakers in six thematic arenas and two plenary sessions.

The venue will also include a sustainable trade fair with representatives from national and international companies, an academic congress aimed at promoting Research & Development (R&D) projects, and a technical section showcasing outstanding work based on best practices.

Bahiagás Plenary

One of the conference spaces at iBEM will be the Bahiagás Energy Integration Plenary, located in the south wing of the Salvador Convention Center. Over the course of three days, the venue will host discussions on topics such as the energy model of the future, energy in the blue economy, energy as a driver of social development, and more.

Natural Gas-Powered Minibus

Another attraction promoted by Bahiagás at the event is the natural gas vehicle (NGV)-powered minibus. Manufactured by Marcopolo Volare, this vehicle is one of the first of its kind in Brazil and will be publicly exhibited for the first time. It is designed for urban mobility as well as other sectors, including healthcare and education.

“It is a privilege for the energy sector in Bahia to have an event of this scale, connecting us with key players from Brazil and around the world. Having a dedicated Bahiagás space at the event to discuss such important topics reinforces the strategic role of natural gas in fair and secure energy integration,” highlights Bahiagás CEO, Luiz Gavazza (pictured).
