Statoil approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for well plugging operations on the Glitne oil field in the North Sea.
The semisubmersible Songa Trym will conduct the program. Water depth at the site is 111 m (364 ft).
Glitne is in blocks 15/5 and 15/6, roughly 40 km (25 mi) northwest of Sleipner Øst. Statoil terminated production last year. The field had been developed via and FPSO with subsea facilities.
