Prumo Group CEO Tadeu Fraga was honored for the individual achievement of the 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award on the second day of OTC Brazil 2019 during an awards luncheon.

With over 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, he has been recognized for his excellent leadership and contribution to advancing deepwater oil and gas production projects involving well, submarine and topside construction. In addition, Petrobras led the team involved in the development of various technologies applied in the pre-salt fields, including the first explorations of the Marlin and Roncador fields.

“I was lucky enough to enter a fantastic industry that provides most of the energy the world consumes, which is present in nine out of ten things we can see, that allows us to move around, bring people together and shorten distances. Lucky to be part of a generation that has traveled unique paths in the Brazilian offshore industry, having experienced so many interesting projects and innovations that have transformed the industry. Lucky to have lived so much and now to be able to participate and contribute to the Port of Açu, for another phase of the development of this industry, because the best is yet to come, ”said Fraga thrilled in his speech.

In operation since 2014, Porto do Açu has received over R $ 13 billion in investments and has been consolidating itself as a complete O&G hub and service platform to serve the offshore industry. Created with the one stop shop concept, Açu foresees for the coming years the installation of thermoelectric, pipelines, oil pipelines, oil tanning plants and UPGN (natural gas processing unit). The investments are part of the 2nd phase of development of the complex, which began this year and should continue until 2023.
