The Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy gave the green light to three wind power projects with a combined capacity of 90 MW to issue infrastructure debentures.
Named Ventos do Norte 13, 15 and 18, the three projects have a capacity of 30 MW each, according to decrees published on Wednesday by the power sector watchdog Aneel.
All of them are scheduled to start commercial operation by December 31, 2017 and are based in Maranhao state. With the permits, the projects now have priority status, which is needed to speed up their implementation.
