Today (07/09), Bento Albuquerque from MME participates in the Summit on Transitions to Clean Energy

This Thursday (07/09), the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, participates in the inaugural session of the event "Clean Energy Transitions Summit" - Summit on Transitions to Clean Energy. Albuquerque will present the main measures taken by the Brazilian government to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the energy sector.

 

The Minister will also address issues such as ensuring energy security in order to improve the legal, regulatory and governance bases that will drive a sustainable and vigorous recovery of the Brazilian economy.

 

Also participating in the Summit, the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres; the Secretary of State and President of the 2021 United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-26), Alok Sharma, from the United Kingdom; the President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsugu Asakawa; the President of the World Economic Forum (Davos), Klaus Martin Schwab and CEOs and investors in the energy sector.
