TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil were the winners of the 7th Spot Auction, promoted by PPSA (Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A.) last Wednesday (29). TotalEnergies won a cargo of 900,000 barrels of oil from the Atapu field (Lot 1), scheduled for loading in September 2026; and ExxonMobil won a cargo of 1 million barrels from the Bacalhau field (Lot 2), scheduled for loading in October 2026.

Lot 3, involving a cargo of 1 million barrels from the Bacalhau field scheduled for loading in November/December, was not awarded and will be offered for sale again at a later date.

In spot auctions, the values are disclosed 15 days after the cargoes are shipped.

The price bids were referenced to dated Brent and opened in real time during an online meeting attended by company representatives. This time, in addition to TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil, the following companies participated in the auction: CNOOC, Equinor, Galp, Petrobras, and Petrochina.
