Vast Infraestrutura, the company responsible for the Oil Terminal at Porto do Açu (T-Oil), announces the extension of its contract with PETRONAS Brasil until the end of 2027. The renewal expands a partnership initiated in 2023 and reinforces Vast's role as a logistics solutions provider for one of the leading global energy companies.

"The contract extension represents the strengthening of a partnership built on trust, operational excellence, and Vast's ability to offer safe and efficient logistics solutions. This renewal reinforces our commitment to supporting our clients with world-class infrastructure and confirms the strategic relevance of our terminal for the outflow of Brazilian oil production," says Victor Bomfim, CEO of Vast.

The renewal comes at a time of growth in oil export volume through Porto do Açu. In 2025, Vast handled 30.6 million tons of oil destined for the external market. With this volume, the terminal accounted for 48% of all crude oil exported through Brazilian terminals, maintaining national leadership in this segment.

This performance consolidates Vast as one of the main logistics partners for the oil and gas industry in Brazil, offering robust infrastructure, operational safety, and high reliability to meet the demands of the international market.

Cooperation also includes seabird management and conservation project

Vast and PETRONAS Brasil also maintain a partnership in a seabird conservation project at port terminals, which aims to develop and validate a replicable management and monitoring methodology that enables the coexistence of threatened species reproduction with port operations. The model is based on the Açu Birds Project, a voluntary initiative already carried out by Vast Infraestrutura that had the support of PETRONAS Brasil in 2024.

To date, approximately 484 nests of the red-billed tern have been identified, monitored, and protected at the terminal. Furthermore, starting in 2024, the formation of a breeding colony of the yellow-billed tern was recorded. Since then, it has been possible to reconcile the reproduction of approximately 6,500 individuals of this species with operational activities at T-Oil.

The new phase of the project includes the integration of multiple research fronts, such as reproductive and demographic parameters, spatial dynamics and migration patterns, trophic ecology, and the health status of the birds — an unprecedented approach in Brazil.

About Vast Infraestrutura

Vast Infraestrutura, a company of the Prumo Group, is the leader in oil transshipment in Brazil and offers infrastructure and logistics solutions for the movement of liquids in a safe, clean, efficient, and sustainable manner. With activities initiated in 2016, the company's oil terminal (T-Oil) has already carried out more than 1,300 oil transshipment operations and accounts for approximately one-third of all Brazilian oil exports.

Vast is also expanding its service portfolio through the development of the Açu Liquids Terminal (TLA), a project that will contribute to expanding the logistics infrastructure available for the movement and storage of liquids in Brazil. The company has already signed long-term contracts with Vibra and efen for the use of the terminal and its tank farm, whose works are ongoing with operations expected to begin at the end of 2026.

Designed to serve the markets for oil derivatives, chemicals, and low-carbon fuels, the TLA is part of Vast's strategy to support the energy transition, including initiatives aimed at the movement of biofuels and the development of solutions for future fuels, such as e-methanol.
