From April 8 to 10, the Vitória Convention Center in Espírito Santo will host Vitória Petroshow, one of Brazil’s most important events in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
Leading the organization is Manoel de Oliveira Passos (pictured), president of the Espírito Santo Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Service Companies (Acespetro), who shared an optimistic and strategic view of the state’s current momentum.

According to Manoel, Espírito Santo is experiencing a unique period of economic and industrial development.
"The state is growing on all fronts, from the north to the south. It’s a time of prosperity," he said.

He also noted that Petrobras' exit from onshore operations — such as in the municipality of São Mateus — opened up space for the private sector, which quickly stepped in with robust investments, generating wealth for the state.
"This not only increased royalty revenues for the municipalities but also created thousands of qualified jobs for engineers, technicians, operators, and assistants — both in the upstream (exploration and production) and downstream (refining and distribution) sectors," Manoel pointed out.

Port and Logistics Strength on the Rise

Espírito Santo is establishing itself as a strategic logistics and port hub for Brazil. Major infrastructure projects are underway, including the ports of Porto Central, Jurong, Imetame Portos, Petrocity, and the development of Porto Céu in partnership with Petrobras and Transpetro. Additionally, there's Veporte, focused on vehicle transportation — especially electric vehicles imported from China — via the Login Logística Intermodal terminal in Vitória.

"We are witnessing a logistics transformation in the state. Cargo movement is growing. Electric vehicles are arriving from China and already represent a new phase of Espírito Santo’s energy transition," emphasized the Acespetro president.

Offshore Energy and New Auctions

Manoel also sees Espírito Santo’s energy outlook as highly promising, with offshore fields operated by companies like Shell, BW Energy, Equinor, and Petrobras.
"The presence of industry giants like Equinor and BW Energy — both Norwegian — highlights the international appeal of Espírito Santo, which is preparing with the right infrastructure, including regional airports and Vitória’s international airport, ready to welcome foreign investors," he observed.

In addition, upcoming auctions for pre-salt and post-salt areas, with the participation of PPSA (Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A.), are expected to further energize the sector and attract new players to the region.
"Espírito Santo is now a benchmark among Brazil’s 27 states. We have a functioning transparency portal, solid per capita income, security, and quality of life. It’s a great place to live and invest," said the Acespetro president.

Vitória Petroshow

The state of Espírito Santo is undergoing a remarkable phase of economic expansion, with significant progress in strategic sectors such as oil, gas, energy, and logistics. This dynamic scenario will be thoroughly explored during Vitória Petroshow 2025.

"Our slogan is clear: Espírito Santo is a good place to live and invest. We invite everyone to visit our state, attend Vitória Petroshow, and be part of this new cycle of development that we embrace with enthusiasm and responsibility," Manoel emphasized.

He also reinforced that Vitória Petroshow is more than just an event — it’s a showcase of what Espírito Santo has to offer Brazil and the world.
"Come do business in Espírito Santo. Come discover our little Brazilian Switzerland," he invited.
