Electrical engineering firm WEG will supply a transformer for the 207MW Santa Vitoria do Palmar wind power complex in Brazil.

The complex, located in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, will consist of 12 wind farms ranging from 9MW to 30MW.

Once operational in September 2017, Vitoria do Palmar will generate enough electricity to power 400,000 local homes.
