Westsea Marine Gains Accreditation from Bureau Veritas

Accreditation is for Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Quality Management Certification.

Westsea Marine announced Tuesday that the company has achieved accreditation for Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Quality Management Certification and became the first Vessel Management Company in the Australasian region to attain the ISO/TS 29001:2010 certification in November 2013. The certificate was presented by a representative of Bureau Veritas to Westsea Marine Dec. 6, 2013.
Westsea continue to exceed industry standards in safety and operational excellence in projects participated. Westsea has successfully implemented its Management Systems complying with ISM, ISO 9001 (Quality Management), OHSAS 18001/AS4801 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 29001.
Quoting the Operations Director, Dominic Lee, “Being first to be certified ISO 29001 in the Australasian region is a significant achievement and testament to the expertise and dedication of the Westsea shore and sea staff. This certification highlights the robustness of Westsea systems and procedures in our offices and on board our vessels. Westsea is committed to provide our clients with the highest quality of service, setting a high standard for safety performance, operational excellence and service delivery.”
Westsea has been providing vessels in the region to support offshore construction projects and providing logistics services for pre-cast structures, modules, pipes and equipment for various projects in Australia. Westsea is on to its next phase of fleet expansion with 5 OSVs (offshore support vessels) in new building yards and will mobilize the first new building delivery of 3600T Platform Supply Vessel in 1Q 2014.
