The Energy Efficiency Management Committee (CGEE), at its 14th meeting, held on July 7, approved the Third Resource Application Plan of the National Electricity Conservation Program - PAR Procel 2020/2021. The dispatch from the Energy Planning and Development Secretariat that ratifies the decision was published on Monday, July 13.

The budget approved for execution in the next 12 months was R $ 322,321,868.04, the highest since the change in the governance of the Program, which occurred in 2016. Following the molds of the 2nd PAR, the CGEE approved a project portfolio larger than the expected budget for the Plan, in order to have a “reserve register” of projects, which can be accessed if the amounts committed are lower than those initially budgeted for the projects. However, for the first time, project proposals were received prior to the preparation of the proposal by the Energy Conservation Coordinating Group - GCCE, as well as a multicriteria analysis was used to prioritize the selected projects.

The documents related to the preparation and approval of the 3rd PAR Procel are available on the MME website, under the tab Subjects> Councils and Committees> CGEE.
