The Henrique Lage Refinery (Revap), a Petrobras unit in São José dos Campos (SP), broke the monthly record for the commercialization of LPG (cooking gas) for the second time in 2020. In June, 75,730 tons were sold, equivalent to 5.83 million P13 cylinders, against 71,115 tons from the previous record set in May, representing an increase of 6.5%.

These figures consolidate Revap as an important point of supply of cooking gas in the country, directly supplying the regions of the Paraíba valley, north and south coast of Minas Gerais, in addition to other markets by transfer made by the distributors via road to supply secondary bases. . Revap's sales in June place it as the second largest delivery hub. Compared to the same period in 2019, Petrobras' sales were 5.9% higher, and Revap's, 23.3%.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a significant drop in demand for the main oil products. The internal demand for LPG, on the other hand, skyrocketed and was above the initial demands of the distributors and the forecasts of market agents.

The product sold at Revap is composed, for the most part, by the production of the Catalytic Cracking Unit. Another portion of the derivative is received, via pipeline, from the Caraguatatuba Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCA).

Revap has the capacity to process 40 million liters of oil daily, equivalent to 14% of national production, and produces more than 20 different types of derivatives.
