The prices of anhydrous and hydrated ethanol retreated in the São Paulo market, due to the occasional drop in demand, according to information from Cepea. Between May 20 and 24, the CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator for hydrate was R $ 1.6493 / liter (without ICMS and without PIS / Cofins), down 1.94% in relation to the previous one.In the case of anhydrous ethanol, the CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator was R $ 1.9055 / liter (without PIS / Cofins), down 2.08% in the same comparison. In general, biofuel prices have fluctuated at the start of the 2019/20 crop, which is linked to fluctuations in gasoline prices, the unfavorable harvesting climate at times, the warming of demand on holidays and the occasional increase in supply in times when the mills need cash.
