Germany’s Kärcher opens next Tuesday its new plant in Vinhedo, in São Paulo. With an investment of R$80 million, the manufacturer of equipment and household and industrial cleaning systems is confident to resume its level of growth that followed the company in the last decade. The company has grown, on average, 20% per year during that period but the rate dropped to 13% in 2012 and 11% in 2013. For this year, the company expects to invert this curve, and grow 15%.
The group does not disclose revenue in Brazil, where it has been operating since 1975. Kärcher’s strategy is to maintain sales in the country balanced between the residential and industrial segments, while it increases the nationalization of its equipment. Today, 60% of the production is still imported.
