Brazil's power regulator Aneel authorised local power company Enerplan to start commercial operations at the 27.3MW Faisa 5 wind farm in the northeastern state of Ceará.

The plant is the last of five that make up the 136.5MW Faisa complex to enter service. The wind farms are controlled by Enerplan and investment funds.

Faisa 1 to 5 sold power at Brazil's 2009 reserve auction.

India's Suzlon supplied the wind turbines for the projects.
