Cordoaria São Leopoldo Original (CSL) will present its cables designed for anchoring permanent platforms and Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs), as well as its Hawsers cables and accessories (Chafe Chains, Buoys, Shackles, Floaters, Integral Floatation, etc...) designed for offloading/loading operations in single point moorings (SPMs) and the mooring of FPSOs/FSOs to shuttle tankers. The company supplies the Brazilian and international oil and gas sector with practically every type of solution related to anchoring, mooring and towing, with synthetic cables made out of polyester, polyamide and polyethylene (HMPE).

"This is the main oil and gas trade fair in the world, and being a global player within the sector, CSL must participate in order to publicize our product portfolio," says the company’s director, José Abujamra. Our polyester and HMPE Sierra cables designed for the anchoring of permanent platforms and MODUs will be the main highlights at the CSL stand.

CSL is currently working on projects for the Cidade de Saquarema, Cidade de Maricá and Cidade de Ilhabela FPSOs, and is also participating in the project to deliver eight FPSO replicant hulls to Petrobras by 2016, which will be used to explore oil in the BM-S-9 and BM-S-11 blocks in the Santos Basin pre-salt layer. According to Abujamra, the oil and gas sector is very important as it represents around 50% of the company’s revenues.
