Companhia Potiguar de Gás exceeded the gas pipeline launch goal achieved by 2019 by more than 21%. The forecast was that the distribution network for piped natural gas would increase by 20,800 meters. However, the extension works exceeded 25 thousand meters last year, becoming infrastructure for the state.

All works were carried out with Potigás' own resources, which now has a distribution network of almost 450 thousand meters spread over the main streets and avenues of Natal, Mossoró, Parnamirim, São Gonçalo do Amarante, Macaíba and Goianinha.

The growth of the network also boosted the number of users of piped natural gas in Rio Grande do Norte. The goal of new connections was exceeded by more than 10% in 2019.

“Potigás is committed to bringing piped natural gas to more people by making investments in infrastructure and contributing to lower costs for companies and industries, increasing the competitiveness of our entrepreneurs, in addition to savings for drivers and condominiums. So much so that we are not measuring efforts to reduce the price of fuel and that it is already taking shape ”, says Larissa Dantas Gentile, CEO of Potigás.
