Commemorating one year in the business, logistics, transport and customs advice company MRM, which participated in the fair for the first time last year, is present once again at the OTC in order to strengthen its commitment to the national and international oil and gas sector. 

The company’s focus this year will be customs advice for those bringing equipment and tools into Brazil, as this is where it sees foreign companies having the most difficulty. "We will be at the fair to show that with access to good advisors, companies in this sector can win good contracts in Brazil and develop their business without having to worry about problems with future imports," says Marco Gomes, director of MRM.

According to Gomes, the company made a lot of contacts in 2013 and this year it expects to negotiate new projects and improve relations with its Houston-based customers. MRM has grown considerably and is focusing on organizing air, sea and road transport, as well as domestic and international logistics. It doesn’t own its own fleet, but it organizes entire logistical projects, arranging the supply logistics for many of its clients. It also provides solutions that help to increase customer agility when contracting suppliers, machinery and supplies.

The company operates in a range of areas, but the oil and gas and shipping sectors represent 70% of its current revenues. Today MRM is one of the logistical agents responsible for importing parts for the new Panamax vessels commissioned from Transpetro to meet the demand to transport oil from the new fields being explored and developed in Brazil.
