Rio Negócios, an agency that attracts and promotes investment in the city of Rio de Janeiro, launched a digital map in April that georeferences the state’s oil and gas chain. This system will be presented at the OTC in Houston.

This pioneering project aims to create a virtual environment providing information to support decision making for new investments in the city. The Digital Oil and Gas Map starts with over 700 companies, laboratories and research centers that are indexed and parameterized into their respective sub-sectors.

Developed using the ArcGIS Platform produced by the American company ESRI, represented in Brazil by Imagem, the digital map will run on computers and mobile devices and is expected to boost new business in the sector.
