Concerning the contracting environment, in September, the free market accounted for 40.8% of the national electricity consumption, with 18,135 GWh, reflecting a 6.8% consumption growth and a 24.4% increase in the number of consumers compared to September 2022. On the other hand, the captive market of the distributors, with 26,327 GWh, represented 59.2% of the national electricity consumption, marking a 4.1% increase, while the number of consumer units rose by 1.9% in the same period.
