In the third quarter of 2020, the three contracts under production sharing (Mero Development Area, Entorno de Sapinhoá and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde) produced a total of 3 million barrels of oil. The Union's accumulated portion in the period reached almost 500 thousand barrels. With this result, the accumulated production of the year in the contracts in sharing regime amounts to 12.3 million barrels, of which 2.2 million barrels from the Federal Government. The data are part of the Monthly Bulletin of Production Sharing Contracts prepared by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) and released this Wednesday (11).
In September 2020, the average daily total production of the three contracts was 45 thousand bpd, of which 29 thousand bpd in the Mero Development Area, 5,000 bpd in the Entorno de Sapinhoá and 11 thousand bpd in the Sudoeste of Tartaruga Verde. This result was 101% higher than that registered in August, returning to the level of the end of the second quarter, after the scheduled stops in Mero in July and August. Compared to June, production in September increased by 11.5%.
The average daily share of Union oil in the three contracts was 4 thousand bpd in September, of which 1 thousand bpd in the Mero Development Area, 3 thousand bpd in the Entorno de Sapinhoá and 41.1 bpd in the Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde.
Natural gas
The two contracts with commercial use of natural gas (consortium and the Federal Government) registered an average daily production of 184 thousand m³ in September, 102 thousand m³ per day in the Entorno de Sapinhoá and 81 thousand m³ / day in the Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde.
The daily average of the total surplus in natural gas was one thousand 63 thousand m³ / day, referring to the contracts for the Entorno de Sapinhoá (62,232 m3 / d) and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde (309 m3 / d). The natural gas produced in Mero, with a high CO2 content, is injected into the reservoir to increase oil production. So far, there is no forecast for its commercialization.
In the third quarter of 2020, the production of the two contracts totaled 22 million m³. The Union's accumulated surplus was 8.4 million m³ in the same period. In the year, the accumulated production of available gas amounts to 73 million m³, of which 26.8 million m³ is from the Federal Government.
