The ANP published on Wednesday (23/08), on the website www.brasil-rounds.gov.br, the notices and contract models of the 2nd and 3rd Shares Round, with areas in the pre-salt, that will occur On October 27. The documents went through public consultation and hearing to receive contributions from the market and society.

Both edits bring improvements to the 1st Sharing Round. These include: revision of the technical qualification criteria for qualification as operator A, change in the system for submitting bids, and the forecast of a 30-minute period for Petrobras to state whether or not the consortia , for the areas in which it expressed preference.

Regarding the distribution contracts, the following should be highlighted: the exclusion of the fine for non-compliance with P, D & I obligations (the contract made reference to the applicable legislation), the review of the arbitration clause and changes in procedures for costing and of the surplus in oil, resulting from the acceptance of suggestions received in the scope of the public consultation.

In the second Round of Production Sharing, four areas will be offered with unitizable fields involving areas not contracted to the Union, related to the discoveries called Gato do Mato and Carcará, and the fields of Green Turtle and Sapinhoá. The 3rd Round of Sharing will offer the areas of Pau Brasil, Peroba and Alto de Cabo Frio - Oeste, in the Santos Basin, and the Cabo Frio - Central Alto Area, in the Santos and Campos Basins.
