Aqualis Offshore, a  new offshore marine and engineering consultancy, reported Wednesday that the company continues its expansion in the Middle East and opens an office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Just nine months after starting operations in the Middle East, Aqualis Offshore has established offices in Dubai, UAE (regional headquarters); Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Bahrain; and now also Abu Dhabi, UAE.
“The opening of our office in the UAE capital effectively means that we can support all the national oil companies in Abu Dhabi for both engineering and oilfield services related work. I would like to thank the authorities for their support in helping establish our office and obtaining all the necessary approvals,” says Reuben Segal, director – Middle East, Aqualis Offshore.
Segal highlights project marine warranty, field installations, engineering design, engineering warranty, construction supervision, and rig moving for jackups as the Abu Dhabi office’s main fields of work.
“Abu Dhabi hosts a number of significant oil industry players such as the national oil companies as well as the GPC and NPCC construction and fabrication yards. Our objective is to provide competence and manpower to support all of them,” says Reuben Segal.
Aqualis Offshore is a specialized marine and offshore engineering consultancy focusing on the shallow and deepwater offshore segments of the oil and gas industry. Its core services includes concept, FEED and basic design engineering for upgrades and conversions of jackups, rigs and other fixed offshore installations, rig moving, marine warranty, dynamic positioning and construction supervision services. The company also offers transportation and installation as well as due diligence services.
Aqualis Offshore, which started operations last year, has also set up offices in London, UK (HQ); Sandefjord and Oslo, Norway; Houston, USA; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Singapore. The company is part of the Oslo stock exchange listed Aqualis ASA.
