The ANP director general, Décio Oddone, participated today (30/5) from Rio in Debate, promoted by O Dia newspaper and Economia Rio magazine. The event was created to discuss the growth and recovery of Rio de Janeiro and the Today's edition had as its theme the role of natural gas for the development of the State.

"The resumption of the oil and gas industry in Brazil is contracted, what we are going to see is the magnitude and impact of the hirings that have already been made.These results begin to appear in 2024 and 2025, with the peak of production happening in 2030 and 2031, "Oddone said in his presentation.

In regard to the gas market, he pointed out that the changes have been dammed. "I have no doubt that the opening will happen. The unlocking of the gas market will have important consequences for the industry. For example, Rio has enormous potential for the installation of new petrochemical industries that use the pre-salt gas, whose volume is immense, "he said.
