The goal is to accelerate a low-carbon economy through scalable and groundbreaking solutions. Applications are open until May 31.

Impact Hub, in partnership with Tencent and other global collaborators, announces the launch of CarbonX 2.0, an innovative program seeking proposals from early-stage startups, research institutions, and universities developing advanced solutions for carbon capture, removal, and long-duration energy storage.

CarbonX 2.0 provides a real-world testing environment and key resources for pilot project development across four priority industrial areas:

Carbon Dioxide Removal – Innovative technologies that capture and eliminate CO₂ from the atmosphere.
CCUS for the Steel Industry – Carbon capture, utilization, and storage solutions applied to the steel sector.
Long-Duration Energy Storage – New approaches for efficient renewable energy storage.
CarbonXmade – Integration of captured carbon into chemical products and consumer goods.
