Ramboll announces hiring of Business Development Officer for Brazilian operation

Aldérico Marchi, with over 30 years of experience in geotechnical, mining, environmental licensing, research and remediation of contaminated areas, will structure Ramboll's new businesses in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Mining areas.

Ramboll, a multinational consulting firm specializing in engineering and multidisciplinary projects, announces the hiring of executive Aldérico Marchi as the company's new director of business development in Brazil. Mining engineer and expert in energy, water resources and remediation of contaminated areas, Marchi will play a strategic role in helping Ramboll to structure new projects in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Mining areas.

 

USP’s (São Paulo University) Polytechnic - graduating from the 1979 class - and specialist in mining safety and solid waste with studies in Japan, Germany and France, Marchi has over 30 years of experience in geotechnical, mining, environmental licensing, auditing, research and remediation of contaminated areas, and waste management.

 

Earlier in his career, Marchi served as an expert on energy sources at CESP, where he revitalized and deployed the Cerquilho (SP) and São José dos Campos Peat (SP) coal mines. He then worked in water resources management and sanitation at the Piracicaba River Basin Consortium. He was a managing partner of ERM Brasil between 1996 and 2008, having led the investigation and remediation of contaminated areas. Subsequently, he was director of TSL Brasil, between 2008 and 2011, and director of environmental control of ENFIL between 2011 and 2019, where he managed a budget of over R $ 49 million in waste management.

 

At the beginning of his role at Ramboll, Marchi already works with important clients in the steel and petrochemical area.

 

“Marchi's arrival will further strengthen our market position and achieve the goal of being one of the leading site research and remediation sites in Latin America,” said Eugenio Singer, president of Ramboll Brazil, adding that The company is growing in mining, energy, oil and gas projects. “Marchi's experience will help raise Ramboll's business in these segments,” Singer concludes.

 

With a 24-month backlog, a very strong business development team that includes a senior consulting manager and 17 new managers in training, Ramboll is set to make a new growth leap in 2020 after having doubled in size over the last three years.
