Rawson Resources Ltd (Rawson) revealed Wednesday that the Joint Venture has relinquished exploration license ATP837 in the Surat Basin, Queensland (conventional - Rawson 50 percent, Energetica 50 percent; unconventional - Energy Australia 75 percent, Rawson 15 percent, Energetica 15 percent).

As previously advised (Oct. 28, 2013) following a review of both the conventional and unconventional prospectivity of the block and considering the permit timeframes and work program, the Joint Venture decided to relinquish the entire block once operations and final reporting were complete. The Joint Venture was notified that the Department of Natural Resources and Mines had accepted the relinquishment proposal following the completion of the plug and abandonment of the Hoadleys-1 well, rehabilitation of the well site and submission and approval of the related reports.
