Optimus Seventh Generation Ltd, an Aberdeen headquartered behavioural change consultancy, has secured three international contracts valued in excess of £300,000 with clients including Singapore based COSL Drilling Pan Pacific Limited. These latest contract wins provide the company with a firm foundation on which to exceed its 2013 turnover of £5.8million, up 40% on 2012, and add a further 10 positions to its 40 strong team.
With safety at its core, Optimus Seventh Generation specialises in helping clients implement significant behavioural change and deliver operational excellence. The recent contract wins will see the company increasing its global positioning by deploying its Safety Coaches offshore Indonesia, and to seismic vessels in Australia, West Africa and South America and providing Consultancy services in Kurdistan.
Optimus Seventh Generation chief executive, Derek Smith said: “The recent wins are a fantastic start to the year. The Indonesian contract with new client COSL Drilling Pan Pacific Limited involves our Consultants visiting the drill rig to conduct a Culture of Care Diagnostic® by observing workplace behaviours. This process will allow us to provide an evidenced based assessment of the safety culture and, together with the clients’ team, our safety coaches will develop an Intervention Plan focusing on what needs to be done to add value and implement real and lasting change.”
The work secured on the seismic vessels is the continuation of a long standing global customer relationship. Optimus Seventh Generation will conduct a Culture of Care Diagnostic® aboard the vessels and design and develop safety leadership training that can be used across its fleet. The third contract to design and develop a safety management system for use in Kurdistan continues the international growth of the company’s safety services business.
Mr Smith continued “We continuously aim to support clients in delivering a meaningful evolution of safety culture and behaviour, but are now well positioned to help deliver the systems that underpin workplace safety and to provide high quality HSE Managers and Advisers to operate these systems.”
“We moved into a purpose built training facility in Aberdeen two years ago to keep pace with industry demand. In 2013 we trained over 3000 delegates and received such positive feedback on the quality of our training courses, that we have now expanded our capabilities. For the first time we will be running Open Courses and have launched an eLearning programme enabling candidates to complete NEBOSH certificates and diplomas and  IOSH Managing Safely as distance learning online.”
Since its formation in 2003, Optimus Seventh Generation has built a diverse portfolio of global customers, focusing on high hazard industries both within the UK and internationally, with offices in Aberdeen, Rio de Janeiro and Perth Australia.
