The ANP collegiate board approved yesterday (6/18) the assignment of rights to 10 Petrobras concession contracts to Trident Energy do Brasil, related to the Pampo and Enchova clusters, covering the fields of Badejo, Bicudo, Bonito, Enchova Oeste, Enchova, Sole, Marimbá, Pampo, Piraúna and Trilha. The assignment is part of Petrobras' divestment plan.
The ten fields on assignment are in the Campos Basin, in shallow water, where there has been a reduction of around 50% in production, in the last 10 years. The process is important for the revitalization of this portion of the basin, based on the attraction of investments that will result in the generation of jobs, income, royalties and special participations. Firm investments in the order of US $ 1 billion (foreseen in the Development Plans for these fields) are expected to add 203.5 million barrels of oil to reserves. Additionally, there is a forecast of contingent investments in the order of US $ 1.3 billion.
After signing the addendum terms to the concession contracts, Trident Energy do Brasil, a new entrant in E&P activities in Brazil, will be the operator and the only concessionaire in these fields.
In April, these fields together produced around 22,000 boe / d (barrels of oil equivalent per day), according to data from the ANP's Dynamic Production Panel.
