Biodiesel
T&B Petroleum/Press Release
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) announced on Wednesday (07/10) the resumption of Stage 2 of the 76th Biodiesel Auction (L76), with the reduction of the minimum percentage of biodiesel mixture in diesel from 12% to 11%. The L76 is intended to supply the market in November and December.
For Ubrabio, an association that brings together producers responsible for about 40% of the volume offered, the total offer of 1,208.2 billion liters presented on Monday would be enough to meet the 12% mix (B12). However, the entity understands that the decision of the ANP and the Ministry of Mines and Energy seeks to balance the market in the face of the difficulties of the moment - generated, especially, by the scarcity of raw material for the production of biofuel.
“The market now awaits, after this auction, the approval of the use of imported raw materials in the manufacture of biodiesel, in order to guarantee the normal course of the December auction (L77), to supply the market in the first two months of 2021, without the need to reduce the mix once again ”, comments Ubrabio president Juan Diego Ferrés (photo).
