Business leaders and representatives of institutions in the energy sector took part in the fifth edition of Sergipe Oil & Gas, held at the AM Malls Convention Center in Aracaju. During the three-day event, which ended on Friday (31), the public had access to credit guidance from Banco do Nordeste (BNB).
In 2025, the bank allocated R$ 453.6 million to energy-sector projects in the state of Sergipe. In 2026, the projected budget is approximately R$ 504.1 million.
In a presentation at the Commercial Arena, BNB Corporate Relationship Manager Herberto Pereira presented the institution’s role in providing sustainable credit, financing projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
He highlighted the credit lines available to the oil and gas value chain, which includes major companies in the sector as well as small and medium-sized businesses operating or intending to operate in Sergipe in the coming years, driven by projects to expand the state’s energy infrastructure.
“We presented the credit lines offered by BNB, using resources from the Constitutional Fund for Financing the Northeast, known as FNE. Credit options are available to finance the implementation and modernization of projects, with emphasis on the oil and gas segment. These resources are important for making projects across the entire value chain effective, from small to large-scale initiatives,” the speaker said.

As an event sponsor, Banco do Nordeste took part fully in the program, with a booth set up in a strategic area. The space provided guidance on the FNE Industrial, FNE Infrastructure, and FNE Services credit lines, among other banking products and services.
“BNB has experience in financing strategic infrastructure projects and is prepared to support this new cycle of investments related to the energy sector, particularly in the oil and natural gas segments. The event therefore served to provide detailed information and explore credit partnerships,” said Franco Vieira, manager of the Aracaju Centro branch.
Funded by resources from the Constitutional Fund for Financing the Northeast (FNE), most of the credit lines presented are part of BNB’s FNE Verde Program, which serves beneficiaries of all sizes in urban and rural areas, as well as the infrastructure sector.
“In Sergipe, the energy matrix is diversified, producing natural gas, wind power, and solar energy. BNB offers long-term financing lines at subsidized interest rates, providing favorable conditions for investors in projects of this kind,” emphasized BNB State Superintendent César Santana.
