On Tuesday night, an exclusive event stirred up the leadership landscape of the offshore sector in Brazil. The BR MED VIP MEETING brought together entrepreneurs, doctors, and industry executives at the BR MED headquarters, a company specialized in Corporate Health in Cidade Nova, Rio de Janeiro. The meeting took place after the first day of OTC Brazil, the international convention dedicated to innovation and advancements in the oil and gas sector, and brought discussions about Health and Sustainability to the forefront.

Regarding the challenges and opportunities that permeate the offshore sector, one of the points discussed was the importance of valuing Mental Health among industry workers. 'We propose a reflection on the perception of Mental Health issues within companies and the use of Alcohol and Drugs before and during work, which jeopardizes operations. The Oil and Gas industry urgently needs to address these issues, not only for the well-being of its workers but also for the safety of the entire team and the success of the brands. Everything is interconnected. A company that takes care of the Mental Health of its employees consequently achieves more success,' says Dan Contente, CMO of BR MED and one of the hosts of the evening.

The event had the support of Infotec Brazil, a BPO provider for industries, which advocated for the Sustainability agenda. 'We are leaders committed to sustainable transformation. The oil industry has been expressing this initiative for a long time. I see a moment of seeking, unity, and new exchanges, as OTC itself proposes. For the BR MED VIP MEETING, we prepared as gifts for the guests items from 'I Used to Be PPE,' a project by Infotec Brazil that prevents the disposal and incineration of uniforms, which are transformed into over 300 items like eco-bags and cases produced through a non-profit organization that promotes sewing workshops for women,' explains Pedro Ghiatã, CEO of Infotec Brazil.

                                                                               

The evening also featured the presence of guests and the editorial team of TN Petróleo, which launched its 25th-anniversary commemorative edition of the magazine. 'TN Petróleo has a strong synergy with the topics of Health, Safety, and Sustainability. Twenty-five years ago, Benício Biz Editores launched the first specialized magazine in technology and business for the oil and gas sectors in Brazil, and today we are an example of the contribution that a communication company can make to such a complex and diverse industry. We have closely followed the evolution of sustainability.
