"We are going to overcome this crisis together - the industry in the fight against Covid-19". This is the theme of the campaign launched by the Industry System to reinforce the position of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Social Service of Industry (SESI), the National Service of Industrial Learning (SENAI) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL) in coping with the coronavirus pandemic.

CNI President Robson Braga de Andrade (photo) says that the goal is to show the population that the industry is mobilized to help the country face the situation. “The industry has a major role in overcoming this moment. Both in the productive sphere and in the articulation between national entities and industry federations with the public power ”, he explains.

Booklets and advertising material will be made available for use in the actions of industry federations in the states. The intention is to show that the industry is able to collaborate to minimize the effects that the virus causes in the country.

Several measures have already been adopted by the Industry System. One of them, for example, is the use of SENAI's Innovation and Technology Centers that will act to develop solutions to combat Covid-19. With schools closed, several distance courses are also available free of charge. There are more than 100 thousand free places for the population to study wherever and however they want.

CNI also sent a set of 37 proposed measures to the government in the areas of taxation, monetary policy, financing, regulatory standards and labor legislation. The measures are aimed at addressing and mitigating the effects of the economic crisis resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
