EY (formerly Ernst & Young) yesterday launched the Center for Energy and Natural Resources, during an event for leaders in the oil and gas industry in Rio de Janeiro. The Centre has revenues of approximately R$ 250 million per year, equivalent to almost 20% of the total EY in Brazil. More than 280 professionals, 30 in management positions (managers, directors and partners) working on projects segmented such industries as oil, gas, mining, steel, renewable energy and energy distribution.
"This initiative of EY in Brazil meets the qualitative growth of the sector. The center will play a key role in discussions involving the future of the oil and gas industry in the country, generating studies and analyzes and proposes solutions for the sector, says Carlos Assis, partner leading the Center for Energy and Natural Resources of EY. "It will gather the most qualified professionals, able to offer innovative and customized services of audit, tax, transaction and advisory services", adds Assisi. 
For the global leader in emerging markets of EY in the Oil & Gas, Alexandre Oliveira sector, "the new unit EY in Brazil will be a landmark in Latin America, stimulating the generation of knowledge that can be shared with international markets".
