In order to show for entrepreneurs and institutions what Rio de Janeiro has to offer in terms of data on oil value chain, the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) launched (July 5) the first Yearbook of the oil industry in the state.

The Oil, Gas and Naval manager of FIRJAN, Karine Fragoso (photo), reported that the numbers, "such as historical data also reveal opportunities to plan for the future." According to Karine, the yearbook shows for potential investors the meaning of the oil market in the state, based on official data from the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP).

"What we did was to add value to these numbers, through partnerships with the ANP itself, the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP), the National Organization of the Petroleum Industry (ONIP) and Rio de Janeiro state government, which made the technical analyzes of these data, "said the manager of Firjan.

International data were taken from publications of the US Energy Information Agency (EIA, the English name) and international company British Petroleum (BP).

The directory includes a map showing the Rio de Janeiro in terms of areas granted installed infrastructure in the so-called onshore (land in production) and offshore (production offshore). The publication reveals that in a crisis scenario, as the country and the state live, "it is recommended that the availability of information is valued as a way of basing the choice of activities to be developed, either within organizations, governments or companies."

The idea, Karine added, is to better exploit the figures published by the ANP and give a more complete view of the opportunities in the state, so that investors and companies can make a decision to invest in the sector in Rio de Janeiro, base their strategic decisions "and what they can build for the planning of their companies. "

Today (7), the directory will be released in Macaé, in northern Rio de Janeiro, which will also have a different cut dedicated to the municipality, which is located part of the Campos Basin.
