The Foresea has just completed the second Maintenance Audit for the international certification of operational quality management API SPEC Q2. With this, the company remains the only one in the offshore drilling segment to have this American Petroleum Institute (API) certification for its entire fleet in Brazil. API SPEC Q2 is intended for service providers in the oil and natural gas industries and covers a range of principles, such as change management, preventive actions, calibration, audits, risk management, and data analysis reporting.

"This result demonstrates the compliance and continuous improvement of our management systems and proves the engagement and commitment of all company teams to operational excellence," celebrates Rogério Ibrahim (photo), CEO of Foresea.

The audit was conducted in person in Macaé and at the ODN II and NORBE VIII units from October 10 to 26 by two API auditors. At the end of the analysis, no "non-conformities," a metric used in the audit, were identified. The performance demonstrated the evolution of the Management System compared to previous audits conducted in 2021 and 2022, which had 12 and 2 "non-conformities," respectively.

Among the main strengths highlighted by the audit are Foresea's automated barrier management system (Bowtie), the teams' commitment to the Quality Management System (QMS), the suitable working environment at the Base/Yard for receiving SRPs from the maritime units, storage, and preparation for shipment to the units, among other aspects.

About Foresea - Foresea provides offshore drilling solutions and has its own fleet consisting of the ODN I, ODN II, Norbe VI, Norbe VIII, and Norbe IX rigs, all with active contracts.
