GE announced Gilberto Peralta as the new president and CEO of GE 's Brazil. In the company since 1980, the executive will accumulate the function of regional director of GE Capital Aviation Services for Latin America. He replaces Adriana Machado, who becomes Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy at GE for Latin America.
Peralta began at GE Celma, in Petrópolis (RJ), as Engineer of Development and Maintenance. He served in various positions in sales of services for engines, reaching the vice presidency to Airbus programs. In 2006, he joined the team of GE Capital Aviation Services to perform the current role, now combined with that of CEO in Brazil.
"It was with great pleasure that I accepted the invitation for the big challenge which is to command one of the main operations of GE in the world today," he says. Ahead of the Brazilian operations, the Executive will focus on key strategic initiatives and for local growth of the company.
"In this new stage, we will continue to focus on further strengthening the commitment we made to Brazil 94 years ago, maintaining the strong pace of work to help the country overcome its greatest challenges in infrastructure. And continuing the great work done by Adriana Machado in almost two years, " he says.
In their new positions , Gilberto Peralta and Adriana Machado report directly to Reinaldo Garcia, President and CEO of GE for Latin America.
