Petrobras concludes the sale of its entire stake in the onshore fields of Polo Lagoa Parda, located in the state of Espírito Santo, near the municipality of Linhares, to Imetame Energia Lagoa Parda Ltda., An affiliate of Imetame Energia Ltda.

After the fulfillment of the precedent conditions, the operation was concluded with the payment of US $ 9,441,586.10 to Petrobras, already with the adjustments provided for in the contract. The amount received at closing is added to the amount of US $ 1,405,869.90 paid to Petrobras upon signing the sales contract.

This disclosure is in accordance with the internal rules of Petrobras and with the provisions of the special procedure for the assignment of rights to explore, develop and produce oil, natural gas and other fluid hydrocarbons, provided for in Decree 9.355 / 2018.

This operation is in line with the portfolio optimization strategy and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, starting to increasingly focus its resources on world-class assets in deep and ultra-deep waters, where Petrobras has demonstrated a great competitive advantage over the years.

According to the executive manager of Portfolio Management at Petrobras, Ana Paula Saraiva, the closing of Lagoa Parda is of great importance for the company. “Portfolio management is focused on the future of Petrobras, making it even stronger and more resilient. With the sale of the Lagoa Parda fields, we take another step in the strategy of focusing resources on more profitable assets for the company ”.

For Imetame's Operational Director, Giuliano Favalessa (photo), Petrobras' divestments bring to the industry, especially onshore, expectations with new business opportunities that are important from an economic and social point of view. "New companies can take on these assets with more flexibility and a vision for development, in addition to new suppliers and service providers."
