Following all the precautions and following the determinations of the Ministry of Health and state decree, Companhia Potiguar de Gás (Potigás) will start this Monday (13), the gradual resumption of face-to-face activities at the company's headquarters. The Health, Safety and Environment Management (GSMS) has prepared a manual against Covid 19, whose main objective is to preserve lives.

In this first stage of resumption, the working hours were reduced to six straight hours, divided into two shifts and only a few employees return to face-to-face work. Those who are part of the risk group, indirect risk group and parents of school-age children continue to be telecommuting and working for eight hours.

Employees will work in different shifts to avoid greater circulation on site and to ensure a minimum distance of one meter. Everyone will have their temperature checked before entering the building and will be required to wear face protection masks during working hours. The cleaning of the building was also reinforced and containers with alcohol gel were placed in the common spaces and on the employees' tables. Likewise, the meeting rooms, auditorium and pantries had their capacity reduced.

Potigás kept all employees in remote work during the social isolation started in March. However, the services and distribution of piped natural gas were maintained by adopting the necessary care with safety and health, including the supply of hospitals, condominiums, supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations.

The second and third stages of resuming face-to-face activities have yet to be confirmed.

“We have adopted the procedures carefully to preserve the safety of everyone. The resumption will be gradual. We are being cautious because at that moment the health of our employees, customers, family members and society in Rio Grande do Sul is our priority ”, said Larissa Dantas, CEO of Potigás.
