A Brazilian biodiesel plant run by Chinese commodities powerhouse COFCO Intl was significantly affected by a local lockdown due to coronavirus, but a legal injunction has allowed it to keep producing, a senior executive said on Tuesday.

Eduardo Andretto, COFCO’s general counsel in South America, said the municipal order in the farm town of Rondonopolis would have otherwise paralyzed operations at the plant.
