Oceânica recently signed a contract for the preparation of the load out of 12 modules which will be distributed among 3 Petrobras replicant platforms.
The project, commissioned by the Consortium Tome Ferrostaal, will be divided into 6 trips with 2 modules of up to 1,200 tons (total) by barge. All units come out from Maceió and will be sent to 3 different ports: Rio Grande, Paranaguá and Rio de Janeiro, where they will be installed with the FPSOs units.
Among the activities to be developed by Oceânica, are:
- Barge structural verification
- Stability verification during operation and during the transportation to their final destinations
- Module verification concerning the structural strength for load out transport
- Load up equipment verification
- System design for the barge ballast
- Load up manuals and transport manuals preparation
- Approval together with MWS (marine warranty surveyor)
- Weighing modules
- Preparation and operation supervision: tide control, barge ballast quantity and module partial input in the barge to ensure that it is levelled with the yard during loading operation.
