Petrobras reported that the production platform P-58, as provided in the Business Plan and Management from 2014 to 2018, came into operation yesterday (17) in the complex called Whale Park, in Espírito Santo portion of the Campos Basin, through well BFR-7-7-ESS, producing pre-salt reservoir, with an excellent productivity, as expected.
The P-58 is an integral part of the Norte de Parque das Baleias project, which involves the production of fields Baleia Franca, Cachalote, Jubarte, Baleia Azul and Baleia Anã.
The P-58 is installed at about 85 km off the Espírito Santo coast, in water depths of 1400 meters. As it will be connected in the coming months, 15 producing wells, of which eight pre-salt and post-salt seven, and nine injection wells through 250 km of flexible pipes and two subsea manifolds (equipment that transfer oil wells to the platform).
FPSO unit (which produces, stores and offloads oil, its acronym in English), the unit is capable of processing up to 180 daily barrels of oil and 6 million cubic meters of natural gas.
The export of oil platform will be performed by shuttle tankers and the flow of natural gas by pipeline to the Gas Treatment Unit of Cacimbas, located in Linhares, Espírito Santo.
The work generated about 4,500 direct, 13,500 indirect jobs and achieved 64% national content index.
The construction of oil processing and gas compression modules of the platform was taken in Rio de Janeiro. These modules were transported on Honorio Bicalho shipyard in the city of Rio Grande, where the construction of electrical panels and main power generation modules occurred, as well as integration of all modules in the hull of the platform.
Even as provided in the Business Plan and Management 2014-2018 Petrobras, three new platforms come into operation in the second quarter of 2014. In Roncador field in the Campos Basin, the P-62 platform will develop the field in conjunction with the P-52, P-54 and P-55 platforms. The latter went into production in December 2013.
At the Papa Terra field, enter service and the P-61 drilling support of SS-88 TAD (Tender Assisted Drilling) wells submersible platform. These units develop the production of Papa-Terra in conjunction with the P-63, which went into production in November 2013.

Oil processing capacity: 180 thousand barrels / day
Treatment capacity and gas compression: 6 million m3 / day
Local content: 64%
Treatment capacity of water injection: 58 000 m³ / day
