Revitalization of mature oil fields, use of technologies to increase operational safety and reduce costs are some of the topics that will be discussed by Petrobras professionals during the 20th edition of Offshore Brazil. The event, which began on Tuesday (June 25) and runs until June 28 in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, is considered one of the most important oil and gas industry in Brazil. The theme of this edition of the fair will be: "A Plataforma de Retomada para Grandes Negócios".

For Petrobras, Brazil Offshore represents an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with suppliers and the market, aiming at partnerships and exchange of knowledge in the Campos Basin region, one of the largest oil complexes in the world. In 2018, this basin was responsible for about 45% of Petrobras' production.

Petrobras' Business and Management Plan foresees investments of more than US $ 20 billion in the Campos Basin between 2019 and 2023. In the region, the company focuses on revitalization projects, increasing the recovery factor of the fields in production, in addition to the increase of the operational efficiency of the production units. In the last auctions of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), Petrobras acquired 13 new exploration blocks in the Campos Basin, attesting to the great geological potential that still exists in this area.
