Raízen, an integrated energy company and a global reference in bioenergy, announces that it will increase 72.3% of its renewable capacity in Minas Gerais by April 2023. The company, which until November had approximately 10 MW in distributed generation from solar plants in the state, enough to supply a city like Extrema (MG), with 36 thousand inhabitants, has just connected a new plant in the city of Vazante, adding another 2 MW to the grid. In the next two months, the company will connect two more plants in Varjão de Minas and install another 4.88 MW, reaching a capacity of 17.23 MW.

Other company plants in the state, located in the municipalities of Capitão Enéas and Bocaiúva, serve more than 400 consumer units in the region, including large national companies, such as gym chains, fashion retailers, among others.

"One of Raízen's biggest differentials in the energy area is that it is one of the only companies that has an offer in more than one region, with plants with space for customers to enter immediately and plants under construction that will be connected in 2023. In addition, , our solution offers the greatest savings in Minas Gerais, compared to other companies in the state. Our GD projects generate from 20% savings in tariffs, which can reach 36% when we are experiencing water scarcity, all this without no loyalty", comments Frederico Saliba (photo), VP of Energy and Renewables at Raízen.

Standout in the national distributed generation market and with a broad portfolio of integrated solutions, Raízen generates its own energy through renewable sources, such as the sun, sugarcane by-products and other clean sources, allowing small, medium and large sizes are part of its plants, increasing sustainability in its business and gaining greater control of its energy costs. "Raízen plays an important role in the decarbonization of the country, presenting more sustainable solutions for customers who are looking for an increasingly clean and efficient matrix, stimulating the competitiveness of the sector", says Saliba.

In addition to Distributed Generation solutions, Raízen is an energy one-stop-shop, with a broad portfolio of products available to customers in Minas Gerais, such as migration to the Free Energy Market, sale of international renewable energy certificates ( I-RECs), charging stations for electric vehicles (Shell Recharge and Tupinambá) and, through the companies invested in together with the Gera Group, which also operates in the energy sector, home solar energy solutions (Holu), refrigeration management (Diel) and energy efficiency for condominiums (Tyr).
