The Brazilian Bioenergy Science and Technology Conference (BBEST) 2020 is open for registration. The central theme of its fourth edition will be “Innovation in Bioenergy”.

The international scientific conference, created on the initiative of the FAPESP Bionergy Research Program (BIOEN), will take place from March 30 to April 1, 2020, in São Paulo.

The conference will bring together researchers, students and public and private sector leaders from Brazil and abroad to discuss the main scientific and technological advances in bioenergy. The conference will also feature the latest research results supported by BIOEN.

During BBEST 2020, the International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Committee meeting will be held. The BIOEN researchers coordinate the Brazilian participation in one of the entity's task forces on commercialization of conventional and advanced biofuels, and participate in the sustainability task and impacts of bioenergy.

The event program will be divided into five thematic areas: Biomass, Biofuel Technologies, Biorefineries, Sustainability and Biofuel Engines and Aviation Applications.

Entries submitting abstracts will be accepted until November 1, 2019, as detailed on the event website. The registration fee is discounted until November 1st, with a value between R $ 480 and R $ 1,659. Interested parties can subscribe through the BBEST 2020 website.

The venue of the event will be the Renaissance Hotel at al. Santos, 2233, Cerqueira Cesar, Sao Paulo.
