Petrobras has been rapidly expanding the application of tests in sorting before the start of operational activities, both on offshore platforms and onshore operational units. Of about 26 thousand tests already carried out, more than 20 thousand were applied for the purpose of screening.

With this measure, Petrobras is able to identify people without any symptoms, but with the presence of antibodies that may indicate viruses in an active stage and the possibility of contagion. With this, the company reinforces the health care of these employees, in addition to avoiding contagion within its units. From the result, these employees cannot access the operational areas, are guided to comply with isolation and are monitored by health teams.

Testing in screening adds to the testing of employees of contracted companies that show symptoms, as Petrobras was one of the first companies to adopt on a large scale. More than 6,000 tests were performed to diagnose people with symptoms. With screening tests and diagnostic tests, Petrobras has already covered about 18% of the universe of about 150 thousand people who work in its units, whether they are employees or collaborators of service providers. In comparison to countries that have adopted mass tests, the company has proportionally tested three times more than the USA and almost twice as much as Portugal.
